There are a few things that you should do while you are in Vietnam, so the following is a guide to help you choose what appeals to you.
Try the Food!
Vietnamese food is very tasty and you should try as much of it as you can! There’s no better time to treat your palette to some delicious gourmet food. Many restaurants serve a range of different foods including noodle soup, spring rolls, rice porridge, Vietnamese baguettes, caramelised fish and Vietnamese soups. Some Vietnamese dishes can be eaten as a meal or as a snack in restaurants, but be aware of hygiene when purchasing street food!
Try and visit as many Historical Attractions as you can
We are all well aware of the history of Vietnam, as it is one of the many things we learn about while we are in school. There are so many cities in Vietnam that has managed to hold onto their heritage, which gives visitors to the country the opportunity to see their heritage for themselves. One popular attraction includes the Củ Chi Tunnels that are located in Saigon city. These tunnels are famous because they were used as hiding spaces in the war; visitors are allowed to crawl in to the tunnels in order to experience what it was like for the army in 1968.
Motorbike Rides
One of the most popular forms of transport in Vietnam is the motorbike. Why? This is because of the vast amount of traffic in the cities; the motorbike is one of the most convenient ways of getting around through the busy traffic. Beware though, as it can be dangerous with many people narrowly missing the person on the motorbike next to them. If you aren’t brave enough to buy a motorbike, you can get a motorbike taxi which are very popular!
The Vietnamese Beaches
In Vietnam there are close to 200 beaches. If you are going to do water sports the then Mui Ne is for you, if you need to pamper yourself by relaxing as much as you can, Doc Let is more than suited to your needs! Whatever your wishes and desires are, there is most definitely a beach in Vietnam that caters for your needs. Remember, it’s always a good idea to research as much as you can before you leave home, as having knowledge will always pay off.
